Publications Database Search Instructions

General Instructions

Searches in author, title and keyword fields can be done in the major European languages and several script languages.  The latter include Chinese, Japanese, and Thai.  Searches in Romanized Chinese (Pinyin) and Romanized Japanese should avoid diacritics.

Non-English entries shall have descriptors (subject headings or keywords) in English, in addition to the original language of publication.

The keyword search is the most comprehensive as it searches all fields. Conversely, searches can be restricted by providing an additional keyword, or by limiting the language or the year of publication.

For searches in non-Romanized scripts please use full characters/title/name/phrase.
