The first national academic prize in sociological studies in September 1988 by China's National Education Committee and Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation.
Nationwide Best Seller Prize for Social Psychology (and translation) in 1986. Awarded by Guangming Daily, the Chinese Youth Daily; and the General Store of the New China Bookstore in Beijing.
